The Roasters' Cup is L'Affare's rotating specialty coffee series. Every few months a new small-batch, single-origin coffee lands on the website, sourced from a specific farm or producer and available for a limited time only.
These are not everyday coffees. They are specialty-grade lots chosen for something particular: an unusual processing method, a rare variety, or a producer doing things properly. They rotate out when stock runs out, so if something catches your eye, it is worth moving on it.
Each release comes in a 200g bag, available in whole bean, espresso, filter, and plunger grind.
The Series
Specialty coffee scoring 80 or above on the international scale qualifies as truly exceptional. Every Roasters' Cup release meets that bar. What makes each one different is what happens after: origin, variety, altitude, and process combine in ways that are hard to replicate once the season or the lot is gone.
When stock runs out, it is gone. That is what makes it worth paying attention to.
